San Diego continued to bombard the San Francisco mound. In the top of the fourth, Ha-Sung Kim hit a solo home run to make it 7-0. In the top of the fifth, Jake Cronenwirth’s RBI single made it 8-0 and Nelson Cruz’s two-run double made it 10-0.

San Diego’s offense was flawless, with starting pitcher Blake Snell shutting down the Dodgers’ offense for six innings of three-hit ball, striking out 11 and walking none. Luis Garcia (one scoreless inning) and Laker (two scoreless innings) also kept the bats in check to preserve the win.

At the plate, Sanchez and Machado each had three-hit games, including a home run. Soto had a multi-hit game and Cruz had two hits.

With the win, San Diego snapped a three-game losing streak while also snapping San Francisco’s 11-game winning streak. The Padres are now 36-39 on the season.
