Bae Min-seo said, “I am happy to be discharged from the Armed Forces Sports Unit. It is good to be discharged, but I am most happy to return to my team called NC.”
He also added, “During my service, I learned a lot from coach Park Chi-Wang and the coaching staff, and I saw the good routines of my colleagues living together.
Bae Min-seo said, “I think the only thing left is to return to the team and work hard for the team’s victory. I think that if I return to the team as a side pitcher, I can help the team in any role. Thank you for supporting me without forgetting me during my military service. I also want to say thank you to the many fans.”
Choi Jeong-won, a fifth-year infielder, played in 121 games for the first team, recording a batting average of .282, 71 hits, 10 RBIs, 58 points and 14 stolen bases. Also recording his first double-digit steal in his 2021 debut. This season, he had a batting average of .266, 21 hits, 10 RBIs, 14 points and 5 steals in the Futures League.
“I feel free after completing my military duty. I enlisted in the Armed Forces Sports Corps, but prior to that, I did my best in the role of national defense as a soldier protecting the country. I thought a lot while serving in the military, and those thoughts became a member of society as a professional baseball player. I think it can be a great asset”. This is Choi Jeong-won’s impression.
“Thanks to coach Park Chi-wang, coaching staff, and colleagues, I achieved the part of accumulating a lot of experience that I aimed for when I enlisted in the Armed Forces Sports Corps, and I am discharged. Before enlisting, I played as an infielder, but during my time in the Armed Forces Sports Corps, I played many games as an outfield position. I did. In this part, I personally think it was very helpful.”
Lastly, Choi Jeong-won said, “When I return to the team, I want to help in various areas such as offense, defense, running, etc. I am excited to see the fans who supported me at Changwon NC Park before enlistment again. I want to meet you at NC Park.”
