Zion’s physical condition is not getting any better.

Reporter Shams Karania of ‘The Athletic’ reported on the 13th (Korean time) that New Orleans’ Zion Williamson will not be able to return immediately after the All-Star break due to a hamstring injury.

Zion Williamson, the first overall pick in the 2019 rookie draft, returned to health this season after missing the entire last season due to a foot injury, averaging 26.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 29 games, with a field goal success rate of 60.8%.

Zion, who has been on the disabled list since January 3 after injuring his hamstring, was initially expected to return after the All-Star break, but is likely to miss at least two more weeks after the start of the second half due to his deteriorating condition.

New Orleans is 7th in the Western Conference with a record of 29 wins and 28 losses on the season without the Zion. They are holding up well with the likes of Brandon Ingram and CJ McCallum, but if Zion’s return is delayed further, New Orleans’ plans for the playoffs could be disrupted.
