At the end of the seventh inning of the KT-Keum game at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on the 25th, when KT was leading 3-0, heavy smoke penetrated into the stadium. Smoke from outside the stadium entered the stadium through the roof of the third-floor grandstand and covered the field. KT’s offense was halted with runners on second and third.

“The game is suspended due to a fire and smoke outside the stadium,” umpire Park Jong-cheol announced over the microphone to the crowd. A fire broke out in an apartment across the street from KT Wiz Park, and the heavy smoke from the fire was blown into the ballpark by the wind.

The game was suspended for about seven minutes and resumed after the smoke cleared.
