The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) held its third board meeting today (12 December) and announced that it will implement a second draft after this season ends.

The second draft will be held every other year, as before, with three rounds of nominations, and a mandatory first-team registration rule has been introduced to ensure that players who switch teams get as much playing time as possible.

The KBO has also amended its national team rules to allow for the stripping of national team participation and points from the tournament’s awards if a player compromises the dignity of the tournament, which will be held in October in Hangzhou.
