‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor (34, Ireland) sneered at Michael Chandler (36, USA)’s prediction that he would knock him out in the second round. McGregor has a record of 1 win and 3 losses in his 4 fights in the UFC since 2018.
On the 6th (local time), Conor McGregor posted a sneering emoji on his Twitter, capturing an interview with Michael Chandler in which he said he would knock him out in the second round.
UFC President Dana 메이저놀이터White recently announced that McGregor and Chandler had been selected as coaches for the new season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). Tough is a TV program in which 16 fighters hoping to advance to the UFC live in one lodging and compete in tournaments. It is UFC practice for the coaches to meet with each other after the fighters have finished their fights. Season 31 of Tough will air in the United States from May 31st to August 16th. Accordingly, McGregor and Chandler are expected to have a fight in August at the earliest.
Chandler once announced that he would “KO McGregor in the second round” after it became known that he would face McGregor as a tough coach. “McGregor will feel my presence once the fight starts,” said Chandler. I will finish McGregor in the second round.”
Chandler then added, “That’s what ‘Mystic Mike’ is supposed to be like.” After entering the UFC, McGregor predicted the outcome of the match ahead of the showdown with his opponents, and then realized it as it was, earning the nickname ‘Mystic Mac’, which was borrowed.
McGregor laughed at Chandler’s words on Twitter, but it is evaluated that his skills are currently in a complete decline. In December 2016, he defeated Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 and vomited his spirit to become the first UFC champion in two weight classes (featherweight and lightweight), but it is regrettable that he has moved on since then. At UFC 229 in October 2018, he suffered a 4th round submission loss to then-lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, and then beat Donald Cerrone once before losing to Dustin Poirier in the 2nd and 3rd fights in a row.
