Rafael Little, Running Back |
| Matt's Notes on Rafael Little |
| Unfortunately for Little he tore his ACL during the Senior Bowl, so his stock will drop because of that. He is an extremely versatile player that was productive running the ball, catching the ball and as a kick and punt returner. Teams value players that can three roster spots for you. Quick feet and is elusive. Decent vision and despite his size he is a north/south style runner that is most effective between the tackles. Tough to bring down because of his balance and strength. Doesn’t have great speed, but can get separation at the second level and pick up some big runs. Is a polished receiver out of the backfield and split out as a wide receiver occasionally. Needs to add a bit of weight.
Little gives you a backup running back that can make an impact in the return game as well. Before his injury I had him graded in the 5th round, however at this point he’ll more than likely be a late rounder or UDFA. |
| Tommy's Notes on Rafael Little |
| Very productive player. Ran for 2,996 yards and 16 TDs in his career. Can make guys miss. Has pretty good feet. Likes to run up the middle. Deceptively strong. Has pretty good vision. Tries to run N-S as much as possible. Runs with good balance, making him tougher to tackle. Can take a hit. Will lower his shoulder and try to run over defenders when cornered. Has some burst, but lacks breakaway speed. Gifted receiver. Lines up at WR sometimes. Catches the ball naturally. Big time weapon on screen passes. Caught 131 passes in his career. Averaged more than 10 yards per reception.
Has RS ability. Good PR. Averaged more than 14 yards per punt return. Took one back for a score. Has limited KOR experience, but did run one back for a TD. SUMMARY Versatile and productive player. Tore his ACL during the Senior Bowl. Could be a late round pick. Has a chance to succeed in the NFL as a role player/RS. |
