| Marginal prospect. Had a down Senior year. Showed flashes of excellent talent as a Junior, but couldn't duplicate that in 2006. Part of the problem was losing several quality skill players. Okay size. Solid on play fakes. Can be elusive in the pocket. Can be accurate on downfield throws when he has a safe pocket. Struggles with accuracy on some short throws. Smart QB. Good situational awareness. On some throws he will look like an NFL prospect, while on others he is pedestrian. Arm is only so-so. Doesn?t show great pocket presence. Underthrew deep ball vs KSU, but receiver made good catch.
SUMMARY
Not likely to be drafted, but has shown NFL potential. Might be effective in the WCO. Doesn't have the arm to play in a vertical offense. Seemed to lose his confidence last year. If he gets that back, could become a #3 QB. |
