Physical. Likes to press and get his hands on receivers. Can play off. Very good break on ball. Can really shadow receivers. Fluid, agile. Solid tackler. Will wrap up. Hits receivers with force. Can be overly physical. Has to learn how to keep his hands to himself after the initial release. Didn’t have a lot of balls thrown his way. Didn’t show a good feel for how to play the ball. Nice PBU vs Northern Colorado. Got a good break on the ball. Hit the receiver’s arm just as the ball got there. Incomplete. Started at Cal Poly as a WR. Finished career with 10 INTs, including 7 as a Junior. Had a sensational Pro Day: 4.32/40...41.5 VJ...10'11 BJ...4.07 SS...7.10 3-cone. Even did 15 reps.
SUMMARY
Has the athletic ability to be an NFL CB. Has only faced D1 teams a couple of times in his career. The key question is how he'll hold up against NFL WRs. I don't see him going before the 4th Rd. Would have been great to see him in an all star game against good competition. |
