Normally I write a lengthy review for each team’s draft. This summer I had a couple of projects that really ate into my time and put me behind schedule. I will instead just post some quick thoughts for each division. My apologies for the lack of posts this summer.

I liked what the Texans did. They added a couple of good front seven defenders, but also added several players for the offense. I loved them getting Jared Crick in the 4th round. Great fit at DE. Wasn’t a big fan of the Posey pick.
The Colts rebuilt their offense overnight. Great potential. Never saw the 2 TE picks coming. Will be interesting to see if that’s a brilliant move or overkill. Chapman could turn out to be an outstanding pick. Natural NT and Chuck Pagano wants run stuffers to build his defense around.
Jacksonville is never boring. Loved the Blackmon pick. He’s the kind of workhorse WR that offense needs. Taking a Punter in the 3rd round is so Jaguars. I don’t like that pick. Would be fine for a team trying to get over the hump. The Jags are trying just to get to the hump, let alone over it.
Not a huge fan of the Titans draft. Wright is a terrific selection, but after that there seemed to be a lot of projects. The Titans had a good season in 2011, but aren’t so loaded that I think they can roll the dice a lot. Study the Ravens and Steelers. Take good football players. Don’t fall in love with athleticism and upside. Really curious to see Brown. Thompson could develop into a good TE, but is a major project for now.
