By The Numbers – Week 11

Sorry this is late.  Wrote it, but forgot to post mid-week. 

* Alabama star LB Donta Hightower had a productive day vs Miss St. He had 11 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks. Also deflected a pass.

* Colorado RB Rodney Stewart, who I loved back when he was a Freshman, was 24-181 on the ground with 3 TDs. Safety Travis Sandersfeld had a huge day. He had 10 solo stops, 3 TFLs, and an INT.

* Arkansas State DL Brandon Joiner had 8 total tackles and 4 sacks vs La-Lafayette.

* MLB Eltoro Freeman has been red hot for Auburn recently. Last week he was in on 8 tackles and had 1.5 TFLs.

* Elliot Coffey had a big day vs Kansas. The Baylor LB had 10 total tackles, a TFL, and picked off 2 passes.

* Cal LB Mychal Kendricks had 10 total tackles, a TFL, and an INT vs OSU.

* Cincy RB Isaiah Pead continued his strong Senior campaign. He was 19-117 on the ground with 2 TDs. He also caught 5 passes for 67 yards. DT Derek Wolfe had 2.5 TFLs and a pass deflection.

* Wake Forest DE/LB Kyle Wilber had 13 total tackles and a TFL last week.

* Florida RB Chris Rainey was 17-132 on the ground vs South Carolina. Also caught 3 passes for 30 yards.

* Va Tech RB David Wilson was 23-175 vs Ga Tech.

* Wisconsin stud RB Montee Ball was 23-166 on the ground with 2 scores. Also caught a short TD pass. WR Nick Toon, son of Al, was 8-100 with 2 TDs. QB Russell Wilson was 16-17-178 with 4 TDs.

* Against Missouri, Texas LB Emmanuel Acho was in on 12 tackles and had 4 TFLs. He also had a FF.

* BC MLB Luke Kuechly had 18 total tackles vs NC State (9 were solo).  Also had 1.5 TFLs.

* LaMichael James had a monster day vs Stanford. He was 20-146 on the ground with 3 scores.

* Purdue DT Kawann Short had 3 sacks vs Ohio State. Short is only a Junior, but is having a good year.

* Utah State LB Bobby Wagner was in on 12 tackles and had 2 TFLs.

* Illinois DE Whitney Mercilus had a sack and a FF. Doesn’t sound like a big deal, but he leads the nation with 7 FFs this year. Very impressive total.

* New Mexico State WR Taveon Rogers had a busy day. Caught 10 passes for 166 yards and a TD. Returned 8 kickoffs for 246 yards and a TD.
